Brighton and Canterbury

Saturday morning we started off with going down to Brighton!  We went straight through the Royal Pavilion there.  It's the palace that George IV built and it is very oriental.  Not my favorite, as far as palaces go.

Next, we were set loose to explore!  We all headed straight for the beach even though it was freezing (apparently it had been warmer on Christmas...).  We all stood in the water in our rain boots :)

We got lunch and then we got back on the bus and headed to Canterbury, the Canterbury of Canterbury Tales.  We toured Canterbury Cathedral and listened to evensong.  I loved it!  The space was so well suited for the music and I was so impressed with the boys voices!
